The Wonder Crate Mission…

To inspire kids to think big about the impact that they can have in the world and the skills they will need to pursue their passion and make a difference.

Each child has his or her own amazing and we aim to help them connect to their own amazing through inspiring stories of real people, both big and small, that used their courage, perseverance and passion to make the world a better place. We hope that these stories will spark their curiosity and connect them with their own possibilities.

Our goal is that each box will educate, inspire and empower kids to use their strengths to contribute positively and uniquely to the world around them.

My Why...

There was a lot of negativity in the news and I was feeling despair about the direction that our country/world was headed. The thing that inspired me was seeing all the people come together to help other people. Like Mr. Rogers once said, " Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping" I wanted to show my own kids all the amazing people that were out there making the world a better place and help them build the skills (persistence, resilience, compassion, etc) that they will need to pursue their passion and make the world just a little bit better. Now that my kids are teens and tired of hearing these stories from me (insert eye roll), I thought I would share them with the rest of the world and hope together we can build a generation of well rounded contributors of social good.

About Me...

I am a mom to 2 amazing teens, an educator and entrepreneur. I have a degree in elementary education and worked in the school system for several years before catching the entrepreneurial bug. I recently finished the Launch accelerator program at UNC which helped make Wonder Crate a reality!
